Markets Community

The EMMA toolkit is a work in progress, and we hope EMMA practice will continue to be developed, extended and revised. The main forum for the EMMA community is the Markets in Crises dgroup, the aim of which is to provide a space for learning, discussion and sharing of resources among diverse actors interested and engaged in what happens to markets in emergencies, including humanitarians, development practitioners and representatives of the private sector. The group is currently overseen by the IRC and Mercy Corps, though there are plans to open the board up to new members in the near future.

Read more about the MiC dgroup here. Dgroups is an internet platform for groups and communities in international development.  It provides a space for email discussions, announcements, occasional events and resource sharing. It has been designed specifically for users with restricted internet access (i.e., low bandwidth). The MiC dgroup now has over 1600 members, representing more than 100 countries.

You can sign up to the Markets in Crises Dgroup forum here.
